The American Bird Conservancy’s mission is to conserve wild birds and their habitats throughout the Americas.  The organization publishes Bird Conservation Magazine.

American Birding Association
The American Birding Association offers resources, programs, and trips to help birders at every skill level.

Birdability
Birdability works to ensure the birding community and the outdoors are welcoming, inclusive, safe, and accessible for everyone.  Its Birdability Map describes the accessibility features of birding locations throughout the world.

Black AF in STEM
The BlackAFinSTEM Collective aims “to inspire new audiences to engage in nature and share the stories of Black conservationists from across the African Diaspora.”  The organization hosts a series of panel discussions and bird walks during Black Birders Week in late May and early June.

Cornell Lab of Ornithology
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology hosts an online guide to birds and birdwatching.  It offers tips for beginning birders, reviews binoculars, publishes articles about birds and birding, hosts the BirdCast migration tool, offers the free Merlin Bird ID app, and manages the eBird site where birders can record their bird sightings.

Maryland Ornithological Society
The Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) is a nonprofit, statewide organization of people who are interested in birds and nature.  The website has information for beginning birders, a list of MOS publications and local chapters, and resources and trips for young birders.

National Audubon Society
The National Audubon Society protects birds and their habitats in the Americas through science, advocacy, education, and conservation programs.  Audubon has local chapters throughout the U.S.  It offers free online guides to North American birds, a state-by-state guide to the best birding hotspots, the free Audubon Bird Guide app, the Bird Migration Explorer tool, and special benefits for members.

RedGate Park
This website provides information about RedGate park, including the Monarch waystation, the weed warriors program to remove invasive plants, and the birds sighted at the park.  There is an option to join the e-mail list to receive action alerts.
